Niveles 1 y 2
In agosto, we practiced greeting each other with “hola” and “buenos días.”  We introduced ourselves with “Me llamo...” or “My name is…”  L1s and L2s have been listening to Sra. Bertani tell stories in Spanish as she illustrates them on the board.  We have been practicing our colors in Spanish AND in sign language.  In Spanish/Music class in which Sra. Bertani and Mrs. Miscio co-teach, we have been playing the “Magic Bag” game, playing instruments, and singing in Spanish about the colors, our names, and a little frog native to Puerto Rico called El Coquí.  We also used iPads and Spanish Apps to practice the colors!  We have been talking about the calendar, the weather, and learning the Lord’s Prayer in Spanish.

Niveles 3 y 4
In agosto, everyone was given jobs in Spanish class.  The students help Sra. Bertani by making the class routines run smoothly by doing their jobs.  One of the jobs is class photographer.  The photos in this newsletter were all taken by the class photographers!  Students drew pictures of one food they like and one thing they like to do and Sra. Bertani has been using Spanish to tell the class about each person’s likes and to ask questions about them.  We have been learning a lot about one another while learning Spanish at the same time!  We also discuss the calendar, the weather, and practice the Lord’s Prayer all in Spanish.  Sometimes, we play Unicornios Malos and we LOVE that!  It’s a mystery game played all in Spanish.  Ask your student about it!

Bertani on this project with the L5s.  Look for information about it coming home soon.  Sometimes, we play Unicornios Malos and we LOVE that!  It’s a mystery game played all in Spanish.  Ask your student about it!
