Stanyarne Burrows Jr. Library
The St Nicholas School Stanyarne Burrows Library supports the needs of teachers and provides an atmosphere where information skills, inquiry and information literacy are emphasized. We seek to develop independent learners and life-long readers who contribute positively to the school and our global community.
The Burrows Library collection includes approximately 9000 books and also supports digital literacy with a 1:1 Chromebook program. Our online catalog, Alexandria allows students to search the collection from anywhere. In addition, a variety of databases and reference resources are available.
The Burrows Library is available for use during the school day and each class has scheduled library time twice weekly. Parents who would like to volunteer are encouraged to contact the librarian.

How many books can my child check out at one time?
Early Learning Center: 1 book
Primary Levels 3 through 7:
6 books
When are the books due to be returned?
All books are checked out for two weeks and may also be renewed. [The Burrows Library does not charge overdue fines.]
What if my child has lost a book?
If a book is lost, please contact the librarian, Laura Stephens. Your school account will be charged $20 for the replacement copy and processing.
