Chapel

Chapel with the Bishop visiting

Chapel is certainly at the heart of the St. Nicholas experience and occurs at the start of each day.  Because the school was founded by Grace Episcopal Church, St. Nicholas follows an adapted liturgy of the Episcopal Church, designed for children. This is a time when we thank God in song, prayer, and community. Children leave chapel with a sincere and deep respect for God, themselves and each other. The St. Nicholas chapel program is a model for open-mindedness, tolerance, and acceptance of differences. Each child grows in his/her faith, recognizing what we have in common as well as valuing our differences.

In 2016 the St. Nicholas Chapel and Fine Arts Center was opened. The school community celebrated with a ribbon cutting ceremony in October.  In December the Chapel was blessed by Bishop George Young III (see photo above).
