Message from the Head of School

School Mission:
St. Nicholas School nurtures each individual’s intellectual, social, and spiritual growth in order to develop independence, a love of learning, and a commitment to service.

When I first toured campus, I told my wife Emily she had to come see the school and meet the community. The spirit of the campus, parents, students, alumni, faculty and staff is palpable. We both fell in love with the school and the community. Ten months later, we are settling into our new home in Chattanooga, excited to be a part of this very special community.

For new or inquiring parents, welcome to St. Nicholas School …“where the love of learning takes root.”  After you finish your virtual tour of our school, please consider making time for a visit to campus. Printed words and photographs cannot convey the spirit of a community that lives its mission. You must come see our campus and meet our community to comprehend what makes St. Nicholas such a special place. We are an innovative, student-centered, PK3-5th grade, elementary program dedicated to its Episcopal identity.

Because we are purely an elementary program, and campus, we are able to provide students with rigorous academic programming that is child-centered and individualized to challenge them. An elementary campus also allows students to grow into themselves without being rushed, giving them the gift of childhood. It is a wonderful place to grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

We look forward to seeing you on campus soon!
